From your IPHONE home screen go to settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars >> Click the account you just setup >> Click the Account again >> Click SMTP (under OUTGOING MAIL SERVER) >> Click mail.yourdomain.com

Troubleshooting:
- Make sure the server is on (green)

- Host name: mail.yourdomain.com
- username/password should be filled out
- turn authentation to password
- Incoming port should be 993 and SSL enabled

- Outgoing Server Port should be 465 and SSL is enabled
- click done and go back to your inbox and send a test message.
- Verifying - If you get a "Cannot Verify" or and SSl warning or something similar to that message, just accept and ignore it and move on. It should ultimately verify.

If you're still having issues with your IPHONE/IPAD mail, please use a 3rd party App from the APP STORE (as a last resort).
We recommend using Cloudmagic Email.  Basically just set up your email account with the same settings above in Cloudmagic or the like.  Set it up as IMAP.

The Difference between POP3 and IMAP.

  • Pop3 email accounts check the server for mail and actually download email off the server and store the email onto your computer or device.  This is good for storing and archiving your mail off the server and keeping the server clean and uses less disk space, but isn't as friendly when working with multiple devices or computers.
  • IMAP email accounts checks the server and syncs the mail (and folders) for viewing and managing on your computer, but keeps the mail stored and organized on the server. This is the more preferred method these days because of how it syncs everything up in case you need to setup your email on different devices.  It does however require more disk space on the server which could cause your hosting rates to go up and your account to get bloated over time.
