How do I do traceroute, and what is traceroute?
| WHat is traceroute?
Traceroute is an Internet utility that traces the route from the client machine to the remote host being contacted. It reports the IP addresses of all the routers in between.
Follow these directions to do traceroute:
On older Windows, select Start >> Click Run On newer Windows, select Start >> Search for Run >> Click Run In the "Run" field, Enter the word tracert, followed by a space, then the domain name and press enter. example: tracert yourdomain.com

On a MAC, open the Applications folder >> click to open the Utilities folder >> Click Terminal. In the terminal enter the word traceroute, followed by a space, then the domain name and press enter. example: traceroute yourdomain.com
