There are 4 steps you need to take to successfully transfer a domain name from your registrar over to our registrar.

1. Go to your current registrar and login and unlock your domain. To learn how to do this, click on your registrar's video below and view the tutorial.

   14. Transfering from OpenSRS
2. Locate or Send yourself the auth-key or auth-code from your registrar. Should be accessible in your domain name manager in step 1.  This auth-key is an added security to ensure your domain doesn't get transferred without your knowledge.
   
   
3. Once you have the domain name unlocked and the auth-key or auth-code available, you can then initiate a transfer here by purchasing another year onto your domain name:

   (Note: Again, the cost to transfer your domain name adds on additional year to your current domain name after it successfully transfers.  This way you're not paying double for your domain name period.)
   
   
4. After you purchase and initiate the transfer, you should receive an email from our domain affiliate company named "Enom" to approve the transfer.  A link will be sent to your email address associated with that domain name which you will click on to open a webpage.  This webpage will ask if you want to approve the transfer. Once you approve it, it can take up to 8 days for the transfer process to complete (most of the time sooner).  
   
   

(Note: Make sure you do steps #1 & #2 before you do #3 or else the transfer won't work. )

Troubleshooting:

If for some reason it doesn't complete successfully or you never receive an email, please check your spam folder as well as the email address at your old registrar to ensure you're checking the correct email account associated with that domain name.
